Side of square: 4 cm
Now, we know each angle of square is 90°
So if ABCD is the square with sides AB BC CD AD
and diagonals AC and BD
Then, Applying pythagoras theorem;
(AC)^2 = (AB)^2 + (BC)^2
(AC)^2 = (4)^2 + (4)^2
(AC)^2 = 16 + 16
(AC)^2 = 32
AC = √32
AC = √2 × 2 × 2 ×2 × 2
AC = 4√2
