therefore, area of square = 4 × side=4×5=20

therefore ,the side of square is 20÷2= 10 cm.

area =side ×side

=5×5=25 sq cm

now if side is increased by double then new side is 10cm

now new area of square =10×10=100sq cm

now no of times the area increased is = new area / old area

=100/25=4 times
