Given :

  • Base of triangle = 5 cm
  • Hypotenuse of triangle = 12 cm

______________________________

To Find :

  • Area of the triangle

______________________________

Solution :

Firstly we have to find perpendicular ( height ) of the triangle

H² = B² + P²

→ 12² = 5² + P²

→ 144 = 25 + P²

→ P² = 144 - 25

→ P² = 129

→ P = √129

→ P = 13 cm

Now , Area of the triangle

Area of triangle = ½ × Base × Height

→ Area = ½ × 5 × 13

→ Area = 65/2

→ Area = 32.5 cm²

Area of the triangle is 32.5 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

______________________________

Given :

Base of triangle = 5 cm

Hypotenuse of triangle = 12 cm

______________________________

To Find :

Area of the triangle

______________________________

Solution :

Firstly we have to find perpendicular ( height ) of the triangle

★ H² = B² + P²

→ 12² = 5² + P²

→ 144 = 25 + P²

→ P² = 144 - 25

→ P² = 129

→ P = √129

→ P = 13 cm

Now , Area of the triangle

★ Area of triangle = ½ × Base × Height

→ Area = ½ × 5 × 13

→ Area = 65/2

→ Area = 32.5 cm²

∴ Area of the triangle is 32.5 cm²
