\mathfrak{\underline{\underline{Answer:}}}

Sides of parallelogram are 315cm and 525cm

\mathfrak{\underline{\underline{Explanation:}}}

Given:

  • Sides of parallelogram are in ratio 3:5
  • Perimeter of parallelogram = \sf{{1680cm}^{2}}

To find:

  • Sides of parallelogram

Solution:

Let the sides of parallelogram be 3x , 5x

We know that,

\fbox{ \rm{Perimeter \:  of \:  parallelogram = 2(a + b)}}

⇒1680 = 2( 3x + 5x )

⇒1680 = 2 ( 8x )

⇒1680 = 16x

⇒x = \rm\frac{1680}{16}

⇒x = 105

___________________________

★ 3x = 3 × 105

= \sf\fbox{315}

___________________________

★ 5x = 5 × 105

= \sf\fbox{525}

Sides of parallelogram are 315cm and 525cm

\mathfrak{\underline{\underline{Verification:}}}

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a+b)

1680 = 2(315 + 525)

1680 = 840 × 2

1680 = 1680
