sides = 3x, 4x

area of rectangle = l x b

3x X 4x=588cm

12x^2=588cm

x^2=588/12

x^2=49

x=√49

x=7

sides = 3x=3 x 7= 21

4x = 4 x 7 = 28

perimeter= 2(l+b)

2(21+28)

2 x 49

98cm

Solution : 98cm

Given :

Dimensions of Rectangle = 3x and 4x

Area of rectangle = l × b = 588cm

According to the problem,

3x × 4x = 588

12x² = 588

x² = 588/12

x² = 49

x = √49

x = 7

Value of x = 7

Then,

Dimensions :

4x = 4(7) = 28cm

3x = 3(7) = 21cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2(28 + 21)

= 2(49)

= 98cm

Therefore, the perimeter of Rectangle is 98cm.
