∴2x=3y

⇒y= 2x/3

Put the value of y in (1), we get

20=2(x+ 2x/3)

⇒10= (3x+2x)/3

⇒5x=30

⇒x=6

Put the value of x in y, we get

y= 2(6)/3

⇒y=4

So, Sides of rectangle are 6 cm and 4 cm.
