Let the sides of the triangle be 17x,12x, and 25x.
Perimeter of triangle= Sum of three sides.
                            540= 17x+12x+25x
                            540= 54x
                                 x=540/54= 10
Therefore x=10
One side= 17x=17*10= 170cm
second side= 12x=12*10=120cm
third side= 25x= 25*10=250cm

The sides of a triangle are in the ratio 17:12:25
So, the sides be 17x,12x,25x
the perimeter of a triangle is sum of it's sides
So,
17x+12x+25x=540
54x=540
x=540/54=10
Therefore the sides are 170,120 and 250.
but the above sides which we have got are sides of a scalene triangle
we have to use Heron's formula i.e.,area of triangle=squre root of s*(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) where s=perimeter/2.
s=540/2=170
