Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Sides of a triangle are in the ratio of 5:3:4 and its perimeter is 720 cm.

To find:-

Find its area.

Solution:-

Given ratio of the sides of the triangle = 5:3:4

Let they be 5x,3x,4x

Perimeter of a triangle=sum of the sides

Perimeter=5x+3x+4x

Perimeter=12x cm

According to the given problem,

Perimeter=720cm

=>12x=720

=>x=720/12

=>x=60

Then,The sides are 5x=5×60=300cm

3x=3×60=180cm

4x=4×60=240cm

Area of a triangle={(S(S-a)(S-b)(S-c)} sq.units

Here , S = perimeter/2 =(a+b+c)/2

=>S= 720/2=360cm

Here, a=300cm,b=180cm,c=240cm

Area ={(360)(360-300)(360-180)(360-240)}

Area ={(360)(60)(180)(120)

Area = (180×2×60×180×2×60)

Area= (2×2)(60×60)(180×180)

Area= 2×60×180 sq.cm

Area = 21600 sq.cm

Answer:-

Area of the given triangle is 21600 sq.cm.
