Sides of a triangular field are 15cm, 16cm, and 17cm.with the three corners of the field a cow, a buffalo and a horse are field separately with ropes of length 7cm each to gaze in the field. Find the area of the field which cannot be grazed by three animals.

now in question the length of the sides can be ignored as long as they are more than twice the length of the rope.

let the angles of the three vertices be x , y and z

we know that x +y+z = 180 degrees




according the above figure, area grazed is marked in yellow.

radius of rope (r) = 7m

So the area not grazed = x/360



+ y/360


+ z/360


=



{(x +y +z) / 360}
=



49 (180 / 360) [as x+ y+ z = 180 degrees]
= 22/7 * 49 (1/2)

= 77m2 Ans
