so area of triangle ABC = 1/2 × AB × BC × sin120

=

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 6 \times 6 \times   \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  \\  = 9 \sqrt{3}  \:  {cm}^{2}

so area of rhombus ABCD =

18 \sqrt{3}  {cm}^{2}
