Question : Side of two similar triangles are in the ratio 9:16. Find the Areas of these triangles in the ratio .

Answer : C) 81:256

Explanation :-

The formula to find the area when ratio of their sides are given = ar( 1st triangle )/ ar ( 2nd triangle) = ( side of 1st triangle )² / ( side of 2nd triangle )²

Then,

(9)² / (16)²

= 81/256

Therefore the ratio of their areas is 81:256
