In lens,

Concave lens- Object is always formed as virutal and erect on left side, so u is negative and v is also negative and f is also negative.

Convex lens- Object is always formed as real and inverted on right side, so FL is positive, u is negative and v is positive.

In mirror,

Concave mirror- FL is negative, u is negative and v is negative.

Convex mirror- FL is positive, u is negative and v is positive.

Thank you dear friend, please mark as brainliest.

Mirror

if the object or the image is in the left side then minus

if the image is in the right side then plus

just like number line

the same for lens

if the object or image is above pinciple axis then  plus

if the image is below the principle axis then negative just like graph
