• Increase in height:-

The most conspicious change during adolescence is increase in height. At this time the long bones, the bones of arms and legs elongate and make person tall. At the age of 18, both boys and girls reach maximum height.

• Change of body shape:-

We can see in girls, regon below the waist becomes wider and breasts start developing.

• Increase in sweat and Sebaceous Glands:-

During adolescenece the secretion of sweat glands and sebaceous glands increases. People get acne and pimple on the face during this time period.

• Development of sex organs:-

In girls, the ovaries enlarge and eggs begin to mature. Also, ovaries start releasing mature eggs.

• Reproductive phase:-

If fertilisation does not occur, the released egg and the thickened lining of the uterus along with its blood vessels are shed off. This causes bleeding in women which is known as menstruation.
