there are foufour types of nuclei present in an embryo sac,
1) the first type is the synergids. these are the forms walls around them with filliform apparatus to form synergid cells with helps in the extrusion of pollen tube to transfer gametes.

2)second type is the egg present in the chalazal end of the embryo sac with the synergids. it fuses with one of the male gamete to form embryo.

3) third type is the polar nuclei. this is a special nuclei. it is in plural form because it has two nuclei with one cell, that is the central cell. this is only present in angiosperm and fuses with one of the male gamete to form PEN, that is the primary endosperm nucleus which is triploid.

4)the fourth type is the antipodals. they are present in the microplylar end of the embryo sac with much less significance than to provide nutrition. they degenerate later.
