  • The electron transport system (ETS) or terminal oxidation genrates major amount of energy in the form of ATP molecules \pink{\sf 34\: ATP} molecules out of total \pink{\sf 38\: ATP} molecules are produced through ETS.

  • It regenrates oxidized co enzyme such as \red{\rm NAD^{+}} and \red{\rm FAD^{+}} from their reduced forms for recycling.

  • It also provide water molecules necessary for krebs cycle.
