he always followed the path of ahimsa .when the non -Cooperation Movement and civil disobedience Movement were launched he later stopped these as they followed the path of ahimsa...he motivated people to follow satyagraha....he thought that satyagraha and ahimsa were the paths to win independence were force is not put on violators to accept truth....but they are persuaded to accept truth without physical force
