Answer:

The Pashupati Seal is a steatite seal that was discovered at the Mohenjo-daro archaeological site of the Indus Valley Civilization.

It shows a three-faced deity wearing a buffalo-horned head dress, seated cross-legged on a throne surrounded by an elephant, a tiger, a buffalo, a rhinoceros with two deer at his feet. This seal shows that perhaps the people of the Indus Valley Civilisation believed in Lord Shiva.

Answer:

The pashupati seal is a steatite seal that was discovered at mohenjo daro, archaeological site of the Indus valley civilization. The seal depicts a seated figure that is possibly tricephalic ( having three heads ). It was once thought to be ithyphallic, and interpretation that is now mostly discarded.

This sale with buffalo horned figure almost unanimously identified as Shiva in his form as pashupati, Lord of Animals - Shiva's earliest representation preceding Vedas by far, is the best known and most widely contextual Harappan seal.

The pashupati seal shows that perhaps the people of the Indus valley civilization believed in Lord Shiva.
