Significance of section 21 in right to education act 2009
Answers
Answer:
The RTE 2009 is a very important act for a country like India, where Free and equal education needs a lot of emphasis. The essence of this policy lies in effective implementation of it at the grass root level. Also like every coin has 2 sides this policy also brings in a few flaws along-with.
*The major Gap that came in with RTE 2009 was;
>No detention policy
The Govt schools and kids got affected largely by this NO DETENTION
POLICY
>This hampered the accountability of Govt teachers at large, the mentality
of most of the teachers grew to NOT PUTTING in required efforts for
meaningful teaching - learning
>As a result of which in past 9 years there have been millions of kids who
have been pushed through grade VIII and above but are incompetent in
basic literacy skills of READING - WRITING - ARITHMETIC
There are a lot more things that can be dissected, but the above is the most destructive output of the RTE act, i write this with lot of pain and concern for those who are on paper literate but their actual skills or literacy is a big ?
*RIGHT TO EDUCATION is very important*
* right to quality education should be the ultimate GOAL for India as a nation.
