Something that is significant to me may not be significant for others or may be, some decision that I have taken may not be taken by others.
However, according to me, the most significant decision in my life has been to focus better on things.
This helps me to cross hurdles.
Significant decision that I have made in my life
I had done very badly in my math terminal exam in the pre-boards for the 10th class exams. No one was happy with my performance – I myself was the most distraught at my own inefficiency. My parents gave me a warning that if I would not pass the finals, they would not let me continue my studies. I could see my dreams lying shattered like broken glass pieces.
“Shall I ever remain trapped in the vicious circle of poverty?”, thought I.
I resolved I would turn over a new leaf. I picked up my math books and note-books and went to a secluded place. I sat for hours concentrating on the abstract concepts. I could not understand a thing. But I didn’t give up. I looked at the examples, and then retried. I kept on trying. It was then I learnt the secret that when we refuse to give in and continue making efforts, the powers of the universe begin to help us.
Gradually I began to solve the sums. My confidence grew. I began grasping the math concepts.
Then the finals arrived. I did pretty well in exams. After a few months the result was announced. My happiness shot past the farthest limits. I had scored maximum marks in math.
It was at that time I made the following decision: “I will overcome all my challenges with perseverance and dedication.”
