For example ;

Last digit is always considered uncertain value .

For above example uncertain value is 3 .

Some rules of significant figures are ;

If zero is lying left side then it will not counted in significant figures .

Example ;

0.003   [ there is 1 significant figure ]

If zero is lying between non-integer then it will counted in significant figures .

Example ;

20.35  [ There is 4 significant figure ] .
