Hey buddy here is ur answer .......

★ CATENATION

▶ Self linking of carbon

→ Straight
→ Branched
→ Cyclo

★ TETRAVALENCY

▶ A carbon has four balance e- in the outer most shell so it has 4 combaning capicity .

So now ur question is ....

{Que } Silicon is a tetravalent but do not show catination why????

By my view answer is ........

→ Carbon can show catenation to large extent (from chains containing 20 or more carbon atoms, and the C-C bond is very strong and hence stable) where as silicon shows catenation to small extent only (form chains containing up to 7 or 8 silicon atoms, with weak Si-Si bond and these compounds are very reactive).

Hope u like answer...find helpful...
