Silk is a natural fibre and Silk Threads are one of the most expensive commonly used varieties of threads rayon is a synthetic fibre and it is also known as artificial skill because it has a close resemble to Silk but try on threats is usually a cheaper option as compared to Silk why do you think it is so

As you say rayon is synthetic fibre and can be manufactured in factories and easily available but silk is obtained from silk worm through long process and after long time period and which was also less in amount so it's expensive and that's the reason it is known as natural fibre...........
