Silver is a better conductor of electricity than copper. Why do we use copper wire for conduction
of electricity? (ASI)​

It’s used because copper is cheaper and more easily available. Silver is expensive and hence used only in more important experiments.

Yes, Even though Silver is a better conductor of electricity than copper, we only copper wire for conduction, Because:

1. Copper has high mechanical strength as compared to the silver. Copper has a higher melting point than silver, thus it can carry a greater current.

2. It also had high thermal coefficient of expansion.

3. It can be easily drawn into wires.

4. It's pretty less expensive than silver.
