silver is the best conductor of electricity. Why don,t we use silver for making electric wires and cables?

SILVER IS THE BEST CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY BUT WE DON'T IT USE SILVER FOR MAKING ELECTRIC WIRES AND CABLES BECAUSE IT IS SO EXPENSIVE THEN OTHER METALS. COMMON PEOPLE CANNOT AFFORD THE WIRES.ANOTHER REASON FOR Not USING SILVER IS THAT , IT OXIDIZES EASILY AND TARNISHES WHEN IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH AIR.

It is because it is costly.Also, it is chemically not stable as necessary for transmission..
