Silver nitrate react with sodium chloride to form sodium nitrate and silver chloride. It is found that 6.8g of silver nitrate react with 2.4g of sodium chloride and form 3.4g of sodium nitrate. Applying law of conservation of mass, calculate the weight of silver chloride.

Silver nitrate =6.8g sodium chloride =2.4g reaction of these two compound are formed 1 sodium nitrate =3.4 and silver chloride =5.8 according to the law of conservation of mass the weight of silver chloride be 5.8 gm
