Silver nitrate, another product of the reaction, can stain your skin. After the silver has dissolved, you will add hydrochloric acid solution to precipitate silver ions as silver chloride.

Answer:
Consider the reaction of AgNO3AgNOX3 and HClHCl. I read that silver chloride would be formed. But H>AgH>Ag in reactivity, then how could AgAg displace HH from HClHCl ?
If there was a reaction, AgClAgCl and HNO3HNOX3 were to form. But then these would react again to give us the original compounds back. The actual question was to write down the reaction between AgNO3AgNOX3 and HClHCl. I (wrongly) realized that the compounds wouldn't react because of the reasons stated.
