Given :

Simi bought a plot of land for Rs. 22,00,000. She built a boundary wall around it which cost her Rs.1,95,000. She advertised in the local newspaper about her intention to sell it which cost her Rs.5,000. She was finally able to sell it for Rs. 27,00,000

To find :

What is her profit percent

Solution :

Cost of land = Rs 22,00,000

Overheads

a. Boundary wall = Rs 1,95,000

b. Advertisement = Rs 5000

Total overhead expenses = Rs 2,00,000

So, the real cost 22,00,000 + 2,00,000

➸ Rs 24,00,000

➸ Selling price = Rs 27,00,000

➸ Profit = 2700000 - 2400000

➸ Rs 3,00,000

Profit per cent = profit/real cost x 100

➸ 300000/2400000 x 100

12.5%
