There are quite a few differences between elephants and kangaroos. Some of them are:


# Herbivorous in nature. In other words, they eat only plant based food and do not rely on other animals for their food


# Belong to the mammals category. They both reproduce by giving birth to young ones. The young one of an elephant is called a calf, while that of a kangaroo is known as a joey.


# Polyphyodonts. Both the animals have their molars replaced throughout their lifetime. As the molars in the front of the jaw fall off, new ones develop at the back. The regrowth of the teeth is a conveyor belt like action.
