Almost nothing. Both states are 2 extremes.

Kashmir climate is extremely cold drizzling in Trans-Himalayan ranges. Hence, there are many hill stations.
In Tamil Nadu, there are few hill stations like Ooty, Kothagiri, Kodaikanal, Western Theni, Yercaud, Yelagiri, Senkottai, etc. which have low temperatures.

In Kashmir, Kashmiri Biryani is very famous. In Tamil Nadu, Ambur Biryani is very famous.
