Land as a resource is the dry part of the earth that is not under water cover, that is, not permanently. Soil resource, on the other hand, is the a complex mixture of different materials such as organic matter, microorganisms, minerals water and air that forms on the surface of land and supports plant growth and life.
Importance of the two:
Land: Provides the environmental area where plants and animals inhabit.
Soil: is the medium for plant growth and hence supports life by food supporting food production to all animals and plants.
