Some similarities between deserts and rainforests are that they support complex ecosystems, are powered by the sun/photosynthetic plants, are dangerous/mostly uninhabitable for humans, due to both conditions and wildlife, and are found mostly in the tropics

The following are the similarities between the tropical rainforests and the desert:

Explanation:

  • Both in tropical rainforests and deserts the animals are adapted to survive in the conditions of the environment.
  • The both tropical rainforests and deserts are inhabitable for the humans are because of the excessive rain in the rainforests and the excess hot environment in desert.
  • The soil of both tropical rainforests and the deserts are nutrient poor. This is because in the tropical rainforests there are diversity of plants live which consume the organic matter so fast that the soil remains nutrient poor but in case of desert the soil is less fertile as it cannot hold water and nutrients.
