Answer:

Explanation:

Average speed = total distance / total time

Average speed (A) = Distance from A to B/time

= 300 m / 2min 30sec

= 300m / 150sec

= 2m per second

Average velocity A is also same(300m/150sec) as displacement and the distance are same.

Average speed (B) = (Distance from A to B + Distance from B to C) / Total time

Total distance (A to C) = 300 + 100 m = 400m

Total time = 2min 30sec + 1min = 210sec

Therefore,

Average speed = 400m / 210 sec

= 40m per 21sec

Average velocity (B) = Displacement / time

Displacement (A to C) = +300 - 100 m (As Amit jogs back in same path in opposite direction)

Displacement (A to C) = 200 m

Time = 210 sec

Therefore,

Average velocity = 200m / 210 sec

= 20m / 221sec
