Simon visited high School physics laboratory with his father. His father was a faculty of physics in Cambridge School of London. he saw many students doing some experiment with electricity. He observed some students connecting electric circuit with various electric components. Some of equipment were kept in a case with a title AC and some other set of instrument were kept in another cabin written as DC. He was quite curious when he saw these students were connecting circuits and taking observations. He saw some of the diagrams and some graphs as shown here On the basis of the picture answer the following (I) Can you guess the two devices working on DC at your home. (II) Assertion : If current is passed through the circuit for a long time , the connecting wire gets heated more. Reason: Due to Joule’ heating law the resistance of the circuit increases and consequently the temperature of the connecting wire increases results more heating. (a) Assertion is correct, reason is wrong (b) Both Assertion and reason are correct (c) Both Assertion and reason are wrong (d) Assertion is wrong and reason is correct (III) In Figure 1 there is a battery of 12Vwhich is a combination of few primary cells. Emf of one of the primary cell (a) 2V (b) 4V (c) 8 V (d) 24 V (IV) We can calculate ………………. Of the circuit using the information given in graph between the quantities on X and Y axis. Fill up the space with suitable option given here (a) Electric current (b) Potential difference (c) Resistivity (d) Resistance
