Trip to Ooty

• Formerly Udhagamandalam and now named as Ootacamund or Ooty is a hill town situated in the lap of Nilgiri Hills is well-known for its greenery and hilly allure.
• The origin of the name has been derived from the colloquial language Otha-Cal which means a ‘single-stone’. Though it is located in the tropics, it has a completely different climate than any other place of South India.
• Chilly weather in the winter and a pleasant calming climate all-round the year, Ooty gives you an amusing feeling. Ooty is a place of lakes and parks most importantly along with the greenery of Nilgiris and tea gardens all over the place.
