simple interest on a certain amount is 9/16 if the principal. If the numbers representing rate of interest (in per cent) and time (in years) are equal, then determine the time for which the principal is lent out.

if the P=x

SI=9/16x

rate=time=r²

putting in SI=PTR/100

9/16x=x*R²/100

9/16*100=R²

R=√(9/16)*100

=3/4*10

=3*5/2

=15/2=7.5%

as R=T

T=7.5 years
