all the secondary metabolites which is produce by the plant is nt involve in growth and development of the body but these are produce for their defence mechanism and for any other requirement of the plant .example of secondary metabolites are

pigment:Carotene , anthocyanin

lectin:concanavalin a

toxin:abrin,risin
