Answer:

\huge{\boxed{\rm{\red{k=-(2+√2)}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

x-1 is a factor of 2x²+Kx+2.

To find:-

Find the value of k .

Using Concept:-

Factor theorem:-

Let p(x) be a polynomial of the degree is greater than or equal to 1 and x-a is another linear polynomial,if p(a)=0 then (x-a) is a factor of p(x) vice versa.

Solution:-

Given polynomial =p(x)=2x²+Kx+2

if (x-1) is a factor of p(x) then p(1)=0

=>p(1)=2(1)²+k(1)+2=0

=>2+k+2=0

=>k+(2+2)=0

=>k=-(2+2)

Answer:-

The value of k =-(2+2)
