Answer:

We have (21)−2+(31)−2+(41)−2

= (12)2+(13)2+(14)2=(22+32+42)

= 4 + 9 + 16 = 29

 {( \frac{1}{2} )}^{ - 2}  +  {( \frac{1}{3}) }^{ - 2}  +  {( \frac{1}{4} )}^{ - 2}

  = {( \frac{2}{1} )}^{2}  +  {( \frac{3}{1} )}^{2}  +  { (\frac{4}{1}) }^{2}

\because \:   \: {a}^{ - n}  =  \frac{1}{ {a}^{n} }

 =  \frac{4}{1}  +  \frac{9}{1}  +  \frac{16}{1}  \\  \\  = 4 + 9 + 16 \\  = 29
