To simplify : $2\frac{1}{2} + 3\frac{5}{7} \times \frac{7}{13} - \frac{1}{3} \times 3$

Solution :

• To solve the above equation we will follow BODMAS rule.

• It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

• where,

• According to above rule we will solve $2\frac{1}{2} + 3\frac{5}{7} \times \frac{7}{13} - \frac{1}{3} \times 3$

               $\frac{5}{2} + \frac{26}{7} \times \frac{7}{13} - 1 \\= \frac{5}{2} + 2- 1 \\= \frac{5 + 4 - 2}{2}\\= \frac{7}{2}$

Hence on simplification we get $\frac{7}{2}$.
