use a²-b²=(2root 2)²-3 root2 ²=8-18=-10

Your question can be solved by using the

identity

(a  + b) \times (a - b) =  {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}

therefore,

(2 \sqrt{3}  + 3 \sqrt{2} )(2 \sqrt{3}  - 3 \sqrt{2} ) \\  =(  {2 \sqrt{3} })^{2}  - ( {3 \sqrt{2}) }^{2}

 =( 4 \times 3) - (9 \times 2)

 = 12 - 18 \\  =  - 6
