It can be done by a property

that is

(a+b)(a-b) = a² - b²

so

(3 + 2 \sqrt{3} )(3 - 2 \sqrt{3} ) \\ \\ {3}^{2} - {(2 \sqrt{3}) }^{2} \\ \\ 9 - {2 }^{2} \times (\sqrt{3}) {}^{2} \\ \\ 9 - 4 \times 3 \\ \\ 9 - 12 \\ \\ - 3
