Given:

 \frac{3}{4}  +  \frac{2}{5}  -  \frac{5}{20}

To find:

simplification of the given equation

Solution:

Equation =

  =  \frac{2}{4}   +  \frac{2}{5}  -  \frac{5}{20}

Using the BODMAS rule. Addition is done first.

 =  \frac{10 + 8}{20}  -  \frac{5}{20}

LCM of 4 and 5 is 20. therefore the denominator is 20. Tge numerator are multiple with opposite denominators.

  = \frac{18}{20}  -  \frac{5}{20}

since they have the same denominators, there us no need for using LCM to the denominators.

 =  \frac{18 - 5}{20}

 =  \frac{13}{5}

Therefore the simplification of

=  \frac{2}{4}   +  \frac{2}{5}  -  \frac{5}{20}

is

 =  \frac{13}{20}

The answer is 13/20

(\frac{9}{10}).

Explanation:

\frac{3}{4} + \frac{2}{5} + \frac{11}{20\\}

  • It can be added or subtracted, only by making it as a member, which has the same denominator using LCM.

       \frac{3}{4} + \frac{2}{5} + \frac{-5}{20\\}

       \frac{3}{4 }  × \frac{2}{5}  + \frac{2}{5} × \frac{4}{4} - \frac{5}{20} × \frac{1}{1}.

      \frac{15 + 8 - 5}{20}

BY normal signification.

          = \frac{18}{20} \\

          = \frac{9}{10}

The solution for \frac{3}{4} + \frac{2}{5} - \frac{5}{20} = \frac{9}{10}
