( \sqrt{3}  -  \sqrt{5}  {)}^{2}  =  \\ ( \sqrt{3 { \: )}^{2} }  \:  \:  \:   + ( \sqrt{5 {)}^{2} }  \:  \:  \:  - 2( \sqrt{3)} ( \sqrt{5)}  \\ =  \:  3 + 5 - 2 \sqrt{15} \\  = 8 - 2 \sqrt{15}
