= 0.375+0.5-[0.5+(-0.3)]
=0.875-[0.5-0.3]
=0.875-0.2
=0.675 →which would be the answer.

correct method is →0.375+0.5-[0.5+0.3]→0.875-[0.8]→0.75. Sorry for the inconvenience....
