Concept

To simplify means to simplify. In mathematics, formulas / fractions / problems are simply simplified or simplified to a simpler form. It simplifies the problem  with calculations and solutions. We can--

  •  Simplify fractions by removing all  common factors in both the numerator and  denominator and writing fractions in the lowest / simplest form.
  • Simplify formulas by grouping and combining similar terms. This makes the formula easier to understand and solve.

Given

We have given an expression 3\sqrt{48} -\frac{5}{2}\sqrt{\frac{1}{3}}+4\sqrt{3} .

Find

We are asked to determine the value of the given expression.

Solution

On simplifying, we get

3\sqrt{48} -\frac{5}{2}\sqrt{\frac{1}{3}}+4\sqrt{3}\\3\sqrt{4\times4\times3} -\frac{5}{2}\sqrt{\frac{1}{3}}+4\sqrt{3}\\12\sqrt{3} -\frac{5}{2\sqrt{3} }+4\sqrt{3}\\

Now taking LCM, we get

\frac{12\sqrt{3}\times2\sqrt{3} -5 +4\sqrt{3} \times2\sqrt{3}  }{2\sqrt{3} } \\\\\frac{24\times3-5+8\times3}{2\sqrt{3} } \\\\\frac{72-5+24}{2\sqrt{3} } \\\\\frac{91}{2\sqrt{3} }

Therefore, \frac{91}{2\sqrt{3} }  is the answer of the given expression.
