For simplifying an expression, there are some rules about the order in which the calculations should be performed. The order of rules is called BODMAS. Each letter in this word stands for an operation

B → Bracket

O → Of

D → division

M → Multiplication

A → Addition

S → Subtraction

This rule is used for simplifying the various expressions.

When an expression is to be simplified, firstly we remove the Brackets by simplifying the expression within it.

Secondly we replace the Of with multiplication operator. After that we proceed to division operator then to multiplication operator and finally to additions and subtractions operator to arrive at the correct answer.

So to remember which to do first and which is later, we have to remember the rule BODMAS.

and we have to remember one thing also,

sign conventional;

+ (-) = -,+ (Subtraction)

- (-) = - (addition)

・36 - [ 18 - { 14 - ( 15 - 4 ÷ 2 x 2 )}]

➪ 36 - 18 + { 14 - (15 - 4 ÷ 2 × 2 )}

➪ 36 - 18 + 14 - (15 - 4 ÷ 2 × 2)

➪ 36 - 18 + 14 - 15 + 4 ÷ × 2

➪ 36 - 18 + 14 - 15 + 2 × 2

➪ 36 - 18 + 14 - 15 + 4

➪ 36 - 4 - 15 + 4

➪ 36 - 4 - 11

➪ 36 - 15

➪ 21

hence, right answer is 21
