(a) x = 3

=> 3x(4x-5)+3

=> 3*3(4*3 - 5) + 3

=> 9(12-5)+3

=> 9*7 + 3

=> 63 + 3

=> 66

Now,

(b) x = 1/2

=> 3x(4x-5)+3

=> 3*1/2(4*1/2 - 5) + 3

=> 3/2 (2 - 5) + 3

=> 3/2*(-3) + 3

=> -9/2 + 3

=> (-9 + 6)/2

=> -3/2

3x(4x-5)+3
=12x^2 - 15x + 3
a) X = 3
= 12×3^2 - 15×3 + 3
= 12×9 - 45 + 3
= 108 - 45 + 3
= 66

b) X = 1/2
= 12 × (1/2)^2 - 15 × 1/2 + 3
= 12 × 1/4 - 15/2 +3
= 3 - 15/2 + 3
= -3/2

I hope this will help you
