(5x + 3y)(x - 1) -( y - 2x)(x + 4) \\  =  5 {x}^{2}  + 3xy - 5x - 3y - (xy   +  4y - 2 {x}^{2}  - 8x) \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  + 3xy  - 5x - 3y - xy - 4y + 2 {x}^{2}  + 8x) \\  = 7 {x}^{2} +  2xy + 3x - 7y
