Simplify (4√3 - 2√2) (4√3 + 2√2)

(4 \sqrt{3}  - 2 \sqrt{2} )(4 \sqrt{3} + 2 \sqrt{2}  ) = (4 \sqrt{3} ) {}^{2}  - (2 \sqrt{2} ) {}^{2}

 = (16 \times 3) - (4 \times 2)

 = 48 - 8

 = 40
