We use here BODMAS rule and solved it simply

 =   (4 \times 2 - 2x) - ( - 5 \times 2 - 8x)

 = (8 - 2x) - ( - 10 - 8x)

 = 8 - 2x + 10 + 8x

Taking like term togther

 = 10 + 8 + 8x - 2x

 = 18 + 8x - 2x

 = 18 + 6x
